Photos from Malta

The photos in this post are from a trip earlier this year to Malta. They are mostly from the area in and around the capital and port city of Valletta.

Malta is a European island located south of Sicily. It has a rich history and culture and a diverse population. There is plenty to see on this small island, and most of it is easily accessible because of the size of the country.

As you’ll see in the photos, Malta is a very beautiful place to visit, and it’s popular with several cruise lines. If you’re arriving in Valletta on a cruise ship, a word of advice: participating in an excursion isn’t necessary. You can walk off the ship and practically right onto the streets of Valletta. There are buses and other transportation readily available if you would prefer to explore on your own rather than with a tour group from the cruise ship. Much of Valletta can even be seen by foot if you don’t mind some stairs and hills.
