Moscow

Saint Petersburg

Saint Petersburg is the second largest city in Russia, it is located on the mouth of the Neva River on the Baltic Sea. In the past it was the capital of the Imperial Russia.

Novodevichy Convent

Novodevichy Convent is a monastery located in the Moscow. Since 2004 it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Epiphany Monastery

Epiphany Monastery is another beautiful monastery in Moscow. It is one of the Moscow’s oldest monasteries.

Borodino

Borodino is a village near Moscow. It is the location of the Battle of Borodino, the greatest battle in Napoleon’s invasion of Russia. Every year on the day of the battle there is a reenactment of the battle, with real uniforms and weapons.

Kamchatka Peninsula

Kamchatka Peninsula is the most eastern part of Russia. It has unique wild life.

Lake Baikal

Lake Baikal is the deepest lake in the world. The best time to visit is during winter, when it is frozen.
