Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque  is one of the most beautiful modern buildings in the Islamic world. Located in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) it is one of the most visited locations in this, oil rich, Middle East country. The design of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque has been inspired by old Islamic structures worldwide. It is made mostly from white marble, gold, gemstone, semi-precious stones, crystals and ceramics. It is surrounded with beautiful pools.

The idea for building Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque came from former President of the United Arab Emirates. His idea was to make a structure that will unite the country and the whole Islamic world, because design inspiration came from many different Islamic buildings.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is amazing  during the day as well as at night. During the day it  is sunny while and  at night it is illuminated by stunning colors, so any time you visit it, it will fascinate you for sure. Although United Arab Emirates are known for skyscrapers, this, not so tall building will leave an impression at least equal to all skyscrapers  in UAE.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is situated between the three main bridges connecting Abu Dhabi City to the main land. You may come to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque by your own car, by taxi or by bus.
